"Nowadays, energy efficiency and sustainability are becoming key issues across various industries, including the production and retail sectors. Business owners face the challenge of reducing not only energy costs but also carbon dioxide emissions. One effective solution to these challenges is heat recovery. When implemented wisely, it can significantly lower energy bills while also reducing the use of fossil fuels and, consequently, CO2 emissions.
In my presentation, I will explain how heat recovery works and highlight the areas where it can be applied. I will also demonstrate, using a real-life example, the benefits that heat recovery can bring to a grocery store.

"The transport and storage of goods at controlled temperatures is not only an operational challenge but also a legal one. Even a minor clause in a logistics contract or transport order can determine a company’s liability for damages resulting from a break in the cold chain. During my presentation, I will discuss the most common legal pitfalls in contracts, highlight key provisions in insurance policies (cargo, carrier's liability, civil liability) that are crucial in the event of claims, and demonstrate how to effectively protect the interests of stakeholders involved in the logistics of chilled and frozen products.

Marcin Turski has received a comprehensive education from renowned universities, including the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the Wrocław University of Economics and Business, where he completed postgraduate studies in communication, persuasion techniques in business, and international trade. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Management and Marketing.
His professional career includes various positions in logistics companies, such as Fresh Logistics Polska and the Raben Group, where he held key roles, including Sales and Customer Service Director and Sales Director. Moreover, Marcin has experience in crisis management and the implementation of new processes, as demonstrated by his role as Interim Managing Director at Raben Netherlands B.V. He is currently responsible for business development in the CEE region at NewCold – a leading provider of logistics solutions for the food industry, based on automated warehousing.
